She currently teaches Movement and Voice at University of the Arts London, the No.1 university in the UK for undergraduate arts education and ranked No.2 in the world for art and design. Sinéad has taught at several of the most respected drama schools in the United Kingdom, including Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (RCSSD), the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), and LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art). These institutions train many of the professional actors working in theatre, film, and television today. She was previously Head of Movement at the international acting school Oltrarno in Florence, Italy, where she designed and led a three-year professional actor training programme. In this role she worked closely with the heads of Acting and Voice to develop students’ physical confidence, expressive ability, and creative independence. Sinéad also has extensive experience working within the drama school audition process. At the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama she was responsible for organising and running the BA Acting auditions, coordinating large audition panels and overseeing the selection process for thousands of applicants. This gives her a clear understanding of what leading UK drama schools are looking for in audition candidates. Alongside her teaching, Sinéad works professionally as a movement director and actor, with credits including projects with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), the National Theatre, Soho Theatre, and film productions with the BBC and BFI. Her professional experience allows her to prepare students not only for auditions but also for the demands of professional training and the creative industries. Sinéad has extensive experience working with international students and actors whose first language is not English. She understands the specific challenges international applicants face when auditioning for UK drama schools and supports students in developing confidence, clarity, and strong communication in their performance. Her teaching focuses on helping young actors develop confidence, discipline, creativity, and effective audition technique, enabling them to present themselves clearly and authentically in front of audition panels.
